About Jeff / Background

I have been a practicing professional artist for 20 years and have undergraduate and graduate degrees in art.  My work emphasizes the role of culture, creative capacity building, and art in the work of addressing complex social challenges - a commitment I also pursue in business efforts.

As an entrepreneur, I have built or helped build a number of organizations and  businesses, including Reos Partners, an international consulting and capacity building organization with offices in five countries.

My studio art practice is where I actively explore, experiment, and deepen my understanding of art and creativity.  Along the way, I produce paintings, drawings, sculptures, and videos, some of which I display on this site.

The application of creativity to social challenges and opportunities is my special interest and life-long focus, my mission and my contribution.

What I Do

  • I consult with teams, organizations, governments, and businesses through an international organization I co-founded, Reos Partners.  Reos helps its clients and partners address complex social challenges by unlocking and harnessing the latent creativity in the system.

  • I have an active professional studio practice where I make art and sell both originals and prints of my work.

  • I speak, teach, and write about our work at Reos and about the application of creativity to social evolution in general.  I write for my blog and I teach in both Reos courses and at engagements at universities and colleges. I give keynote speeches about the roles of art and creativity in the work of organizational and systemic change.
